Just in time for the heat wave, model and producer Polina Raygorodskaya will be presenting a sexy and sultry fashion show at the Hot Import Nights New York show this month. This “Nightshift” event will take place at Shea Stadium in Flushing, NY on August 12 from 4-11pm.

This talented East Coast entrepreneur will be presenting the latest lines by exciting designers including the dynamic duo of world renowned lingerie maker Donna L’oren and high-fashion couture expert (and New York City’s own) Damien Blaize.

Polina relates, “Fashion lovers can witness top models from all across the country display the hottest fashions by Damien Blaize and lingerie by Donna L’oren. To help create an impeccable show are Jese Gary (makeup), Alison Johnson (hair/makeup) and Aleksandra Ambrozy (makeup), who will be making the models look even more gorgeous then they already are. We will also have top fashion photographers from across the states coming to capture the event, including Abbe Foreman from Philadelphia and Steffon Rampersad from Boston.”

She also reminds female attendees to stop by the Modified Lounge, sign up for the Donna Loren newsletter, and get a raffle ticket for a tote bag filled with $400 worth of lingerie. “Two lucky winners will be announced on stage after the fashion show. And as if that weren’t incentive enough, every lady that signs up for the Donna L’oren newsletter will get a free thong -- while supplies last -- so don’t miss out!”

If you were at Hot Import Nights in Boston on April 29, you probably saw sexy stunner Polina. The breathtaking beauty (you can find her on OneModelPlace.com, under Model #121880) was seen walking the runway as part of an exclusive fashion show during the event. What many of the attendees did not know, however, was that she was also the behind-the-scenes coordinator of the fashion show.

The 19-year-old model – who you also may have seen in “FHM” and “Stuff” Magazines -- originally came to the attention of Hot Import Nights as a model after she submitted several photos. “My images are a lot different than what HIN is normally used to, because they are high fashion, so I guess that caught their attention,” Polina relates. “I got a call from one of their main people telling me about this idea to bring the fashion world into the import world and I thought it would be a lot of fun. I love to be different, and this was my chance to bring together my expertise in modeling and my creativity to create something no one has ever seen before.”

Polina states that the inspiration behind the runway event was bringing the two different worlds of glamour and fashion modeling. “Hot Import Nights is already full of glamour, so staging the fashion show added an extra dimension to the evening. We wanted it to be completely different from what people at HIN would expect, so we chose runway-style models 5’9” and up. The ladies got a lot of attention!”

After booking the models, Polina selected makeup artists and hair stylists for the show. Then she started looking for local designers. “Most of the designers I found through word-of-mouth or I had worked with previously.” After assembling the staff, she wrote a list of everything she needed for the show and how she wanted everything to go. “Since it was my first show, the planning took a couple months because I wanted it to be perfect.”

The fashions ranged from swimsuits to high-fashion couture. Polina explains, “The couture was designed by Olga Kinnard, swimsuits and high-end dresses by Lauren Ratta and Maria Santana, and the jewelry was provided by Kendall with Chandler Jewelry. We had such a wide range of outfits that it was bound to please every taste in the crowd.”

Sure enough, everybody loved the show. “I have never seen so many cameras in my life,” Polina admits. “People were cheering and reaching their hands out to high-five the girls. And the clothing got a really good response as well, because people wanted to purchase it right there. I had people come back stage afterwards and try to buy the outfits they saw on the runway. There was a large turnout of fashion magazine writers and local media, as well as the crowd for the actual car show. There were people everywhere and they were excited and cheering for the girls. At the end I had the designers come out on the runway and take a bow, which the crowd loved as well.”

The staff at Hot Import Nights was really excited and said that many people had complimented the show. “They want me to do more shows during the 2006 tour! We are definitely planning on doing shows in Los Angeles and Miami.” Polina’s long range goal is to bring the import scene and fashion scene together. “It is not taboo...they can mix and be brought together to create something amazing. I want to find the best of the best designers and models out there to showcase for these high-end fashion events.”
