Partying in Miami

On July 15-18, fashion aficionados headed south to the Sunglass Hut Swim Shows in Miami Beach, Florida, so they could be the first to cast their Prada-shaded eyes on the 2007 swim collections.

Swim Shows Miami, presented by Sunglass Hut and Lycra, featured some of the industries hottest designers and names, including: Rosa Cha; Inca; Norma Kamali; Red Carter; Becca; and Anne Cole. This year’s sun-bathed, skin-baring event kicked-off on the evening of July 14th with a bash at the beautiful Raleigh hotel in South Beach. The Raleigh's Cabana Grande venue was jam packed with celebrities, stylists, and divas who were livin’ la vida buena while sipping on glasses of “Fashion Passion,” (a tasty mixture of Bawls sugar-free guarana juice drink and Hypnotiq Liquor).

The Scene at Mynt Lounge

Some of the guests that evening were celebrity stylist, Robert Verdi, supermodel, Marissa Miller, Mickey Rourke, Full Frontal Fashion’s Cindy Taylor, Gabrielle Union, and jewelry designer, Louis Morais.

The party then headed to the ultra-chic Mynt Lounge where the “beautiful people” shamelessly moved to the sultry and hypnotic rhythms of DJ Julian Ingrosso. The intimate venue, which is favored by anybody who is anybody in the entertainment biz, was packed so tightly that the danceaholics in the crowd were left with no choice but to transform the plush couches, tables and bar into mini platforms from which to launch their dancing machines.

But the party did not stop there, for the fountains of Champagne, fabulous food, and dancing continued throughout the four-day glamazon event, proving once again that South Beach, Miami is a fashionable force to be reckoned with.
