DDCLAB

Finally a fashion show that not only exudes individuality and rawness, but a show where designers know how to work the runway and the radio. I sat in at DDCLAB’s debut show, ‘Into the Stratosphere’, and was quite amazed at the futuristic line that was presented as Tom Yorke from Radiohead wailed in the background.

DDCLAB was one of the few lines that seemed to have everything working. From the dark and deviant make-up and hair to the clothes that made you believe the year might be 2030. It was all about cutting edge fashion.

Some of the clothes resembled combatant’s gear rather than high-end couture, but it gave DDCLAB a distinctly unique and memorable feel. Not to mention this line was daring enough to use fabrics ranging from silk to rubber, making each piece both modish and practical.
