Sofia Coppola recently attended a Press Conference at the 44th annual New York Film Festival to promote her latest film, "Marie Antoinette." Joined by her two leading actors, Jason Schwarzman and Kirsten Dunst, they entertained questions about the original and lively take on history's most famous headless queen. Though visibly a bit awkward about being the center of attention, Ms. Coppola was forthcoming about the influences and challenges of making the film, shot largely on location at the actual Palace of Versailles, and taking on such a larger than life figure. Kirsten Dunst seemed worlds away from the corseted, powder-faced Queen, looking chic, relaxed and freshly-scrubbed in the way of all fine, young Hollywood starlets. Mr. Schwarzman was affable and droll in explaining his take on the interiorized portrayal of the boy-King Louis XVI. All three were clearly impassioned about the subject and excited to talk about what everyone agreed was a highly unusual and highly spirited film, full of color, emotion, atmosphere and visual richness.
