Basic blacks and
khakis have never looked quite as alluring as they
did strutting down the runway at the Dragana Ognjenovic
Spring ’07 show. This Serbian-born designer
answers the call of modern-day women for clothes
that are both functional and sexy, allowing an easy
transition between a hectic day at work and a playful
night out.
“It is usually my intention
to design clothing this way because I want people
to be able to wear them and be comfortable. I enjoy
fashion and don’t think that it should be
so restrictive,” said Ognjenovic.
While many of her pieces for Spring
2007 seem to have a Japanese influence, Ognjenovic
insists that the inspirations for her line are the
people she meets, her friends and her personal interests.
These pieces can be worn as is or you can pile on
your favorite accessories. Ognjenovic designs classics
that can be worn for years to come.
