Mara Hoffman Spring ’07 collection of women’s ready-to-wear is inspired by the warmth and exotica of the Mediterranean Sea. Hoffman has a love of rich hues and with the help of the botanic and aquatic designs of Klee Van Shoonhovan, she has designed a knock-out collection of resort wear. Jersey wrap dresses and silk dashikis in mouth-watering tones such as kiwi, melon, and berry moved fluidly down the runway bringing an air of Eden to New York Fashion Week. Hoffman’s sexy silhouettes with their plunging necklines and high-cut leg-exposing mini-skirts, compliment the female figure and are sure to be a hit next spring with the young and beautiful.
