One of the most fun
parts of Fashion Week is attending the smaller shows,
the ones that feature designers who don't have a
big enough name to get in the tents, but may be
the next Imitation of Christ.
Parson's trained
Samia Mahmood may very well be one of these "bubbling-up-from-the-ground-and-about-to-make-it-big"
designers. She showed her Persian inspired line
of clothing at Katria, a Persian inspired lounge.
The collection featured traditional Middle-Eastern
designs that were hotted-out with bright colors
and lots of skin. In the designer's own words, the
line has the look of "Persian Punk."
