In commemoration
of the tenth anniversary of the sodomizing of Haitian
immigrant Abner Louima by Police officer Justin
Volpe, there was a rally at the House of Justice
in Harlem. Abner Louima was present and spoke to
the crowd which gave him a standing ovation. The
Reverend Al Shapton also spoke, telling the crowd
that this must never happen again. Also present
on the stage were the two surviving police shooting
victims from the Sean Bell tragedy, Trene Bennefield
and Joseph Guzman. Trent Benefield held his son,
Trent Benefield Jr., in his lap. Their eyes tell
the entire story.
