Remember when “choose
your own adventure” simply entailed the scribbles
and dribbles of a so-so (semi interactive) novel?
Well, thanks to the newly opened Jessie James boutique
in the West Village and Think PR, those days are
gone forever! On November 6th, this swanky store
threw a fete and invited fashionistas-about-town
to make their own gift bags. This was such an original
way to get guests mingling, all the while filling
their goodie bags with baubles galore!
This specialized
den of style caters to women who want to push the
fashion envelope. Well edited merchandise from emerging
designers like Jessup, Park, and Chloe & Reese
seems to be the mantra of this haute spot. Store
manager, Corinne, commented that price points tend
to stay around $60 to $350. Translation: you don’t
need to be independently wealthy to become a Jessie
James regular. However, you do need a serious sense
of style and the burning desire to always look fabulous.
As the evening wore
on, and more guests indulged in cocktails and gift
bags, one thing became clear. Jessie James is poised
to become a New York staple for real woman desiring
uniquely wearable items. Genius!
