One of the goals of New York Cool is to feature young artists - to search for the next hot thing. New York Cool photographer Katherin Wermke attended the Mal Sirrah Show on February 7, 2007 where she got these great shots of the collection and some incredible back stage shots (very New York). Malcolm Harris, the young designer behind Mal Sirrah, has produced a fun line with neutral colored fabrics and geometric construction details. The show took place in his light-filled showroom high above 36th Street in the "garment district." There was origami everywhere - the theme of the Sirrah show. Mr. Harris titled his show, "Labour of Love," and it showed.
