Alice Temperley has recreated the forties with her Fall 2007 line of sophisticated dresses and jackets. Black was the basic color of the line, enlivened with dashes of vivid blue and orange. All of the clothing features beautifully detailing and would be just the thing to wear walking down a modern day Carnaby Street.

And the hats: Temperley has designed some smashing hats because as we all know, English girls love their hats. And they need them so they can attend Ascot, meet the Queen or perchance marry Prince Charles.
