Gilda’s Club Worldwide hosted
a benefit on October 9, 2007 aboard the prestigious
SeaFair Grand Luxe. Viewing this five-level ship
was an amazing experience; each gallery space was
seemingly more stunning than the one before. Guests
munched on decadent nibblers, sipping champagne
and milling about the gorgeous space.
Co-chaired by Meredith
Vieira, Rafe Totengco and Carmen Marc Valvo, the
event was overflowing with emotion, passion and
truly inventive art pieces. The Sapore, Luxe Lounge,
and International Coffee Bar were truly beautiful
areas of the yacht and provided a glamorous backdrop
for the displays of the twenty-eight jewelers, antique
dealers and art galleries.

The focus of the evening
was the noble work of Gilda’s Club Worldwide
(named for the late great comedian Gilda Radner),
a charity which provides support for families living
with cancer.

The SeaFair Grand Luxe was only
in town for five days before it sailed away leaving
behind a memory of a wonderful evening of art and
laughter.
