Joan Vaccianna has
earned a reputation in the fashion world as an expert
at creating precisely tailored pieces with slim
silhouettes and basic color palettes. Her most recent
show during this year’s Brooklyn Fashion Weekend
was true to form and proved why Vaccianna’s
line is so sought after. The clothing was deceptively
simple, as all of the details were so exquisite
that the garments looked casually fabulous. And
we all know that making a collection look effortless
is one of the toughest things to master.
The use of gold buttons was carried
throughout the collection and this embellishment
made a bold statement. It was noteworthy because
this accessory commanded attention with a whisper.
The men’s suiting for women was so boy meets
girl, and was very on-trend.
Exact cuts gave the pieces a sophisticated
feel that further highlighted the designer’s
talent for creating chic looks. Ruffles and suspender
shorts gave the garments a sense of whimsy that
spoke to the crowd. Joan Vaccianna exhibited growth
and maturity with her latest collection, and rumor
has it the she pulled this line together in just
a few weeks. Now, that is talent!
