The Young Leadership Council of Gilda’s Club Worldwide hosted a smashing third annual benefit on September 27, 2007 at the DKNY Flagship store. Guests were in attendance to support Gilda’s Club Worlwide’s mission of providing social and emotional support to women, men and children living with cancer. It was a fun night of shopping, drinking and eating delicious hors d’oeuvres. Attendees received 20% off their purchases that night and were able to participate in a luxury raffle.

Allison Silver has been a member of Gilda’s Club Worlwide for over seven years, and a Young Leadership Council Member for over three years. Allison became a member after her mother had been diagnosed with cancer. “The Young Leadership Council creates a sense of community and builds another level of awareness. No one should ever have to face cancer alone,” says Allison.

The Young Leadership Council continues to successfully raise money and awareness for Gilda’s Club Worldwide. There were approximately 600 attendees and the event raised over $115,000. Actresses Julianne Moore and Emmanuelle Chriqui serve as Honorary Chairs, and spotted celebrity guests included David Alan Basche, Alysia Reiner, Tinsley Mortimer, Emily Sandberg, Brendan Shanahan, Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick.
