Chris Han’s spring 2008 line further instills
what we have come to expect from Han’s designs,
they are feminine and sexy without ever sacrificing
class. In Han’s line, chiffon creates a billowy
silhouette with romantic elegance; all the garments
flowed beautifully with dominant key colors being
black, white, and grey. The pieces weren’t
particularly form-fitting; instead, the focus was
on exposed necks and collarbones. In case that wasn’t
enough compensation for the bubble shapes: legs
were bare throughout the line. With all the dazzlement
of silk, chiffon, and satin, there was an element
that you couldn’t ignore- the whole collection
played like Weezer’s Green album: it was enjoyable
but lacked variety. Through the scarceness of distinction,
the entire show became ‘love it or hate it’.
One thing was clear, she had a vision, and it was
done to utter perfection. The pieces emitted everything
that is fun about being a lassie and are sure to
end up on the bodies of many chic girly-girls.
