Fun, funky, sex,
psychedelic street wear with a look-at-me-I'm-the-bomb
energy, Custo Barcelona is the ambassador
for Barcelona, home to some of the most beautiful
women in the world!
Designer/brothers David
and Custodio Dalmau have said they were inspired
in their design by a trip they made to California
in the nineties. They returned to Spain wanting
to recreate the wildly colored tee shirts they saw
on the streets of LA. But just as Taiwanese director
Ang Lee can step back and reinterpret American culture
with an outsider's eye (The Ice Storm,
Brokeback Mountain), Custo Barcelona has
served up a vision of a California that is essentially
American but flavored with Spanish street sophistication;
it's us but interpreted through the designer's kaleidoscopic
prism. Bravo to Custo for a stunning line.
