Erotokritos Spring Collection
Bryant Park Hotel
The Bryant Park Hotel
40 West 40th Street
September 8, 2007

Written and Photographed by Jamie Sharpe

Erotokritos is a Parisian based fashion designer that has brought funk back to frocks. The designer’s Greek-Cypriot background has deeply influenced the collection. French lace and silk are used throughout the line to create visual interest. A mix of asymmetrical necklines, distinct stitchery, and raised hemlines define sophisticated looks while still maintaining a youthful vibe.

This fashion presentation took place in one of the coveted rooms at the Bryant Park Hotel, across the street from the Tents. This hip background created quite a chic setting that mirrored that freshness in the garments. The modular style was brimming with incandescent draping and pleats. And the handbags were forceful, strong, and still delicate. The leather was deliciously luxurious with haute colors and iconic shapes. Overall, Erotokritos created a solid collection that was whimsical, yet grounded in reality.
