For the past twelve years, Gen Art has showcased top emerging designers through Fresh Faces in Fashion spring and fall shows. Successful designers Zac Posen, Rebecca Taylor, Shoshanna, Cloak, Twinkle, Milly and Chaiken all made their runway debuts through Gen Art.

The 13th Annual Fresh Faces in Fashion Show took place at Manhattan Center, NY, welcoming a new group of womenswear designers including Delphyne, Grace Sun, Dagmar, Mooka Kinney, Whistle & Flute and Bensoni. Two menswear designers include A-Z and Young Meagher.

Delphyne by Delphyne Gerard incorporates viscose lattice on iridescent silk netting, transparent green stripes for a graphic silhouette and tissue paper-like materials. Grace Sun uses organic and natural fabrics, conveying comfort and ease with timeless neutral pieces. Dagmar designers/sisters Karin Soderlind, Kristina Tjader and Sofia Malm showcases jersey and knitwear jumpers, dresses and jackets inspired by the Art Deco era. Mooka Kinney designers Rachel Antonoff and Alison Lewis showcase fun, colorful print dresses and jumpers.

Whistle & Flute designers Yoon Chang and Je-Won Hwang’s collection is called the “Urban Concrete Jungle,” with a contrast between nature and brights with color-blocking prints. Benjamin Channing Clyburn and Sonia Yoon of Bensoni a black, white, neutral and striped color palette including a silk one piece romper and trench coatdress as key looks.

A-Z designer Dana Lee introduces comfortable pieces, including ponchos and cardigans.

Young Meagher designers Liam and Jennifer Maher show militaristic influences and layering with vests and blazers.

Accessory designers were also showcased during an accessory reception prior to the runway presentations, including Knox handbags by Jessica Maxcy, Yarborough jewelry by Elizabeth Yarbourough and Arielle de Pinto Jewelry.

A loud and entertaining after-party followed the fashion show at the newly opened Spotlight Live with live performances by Slinky Vagabond (with designer Keanan Dufty).
