A note to New York City style
stalwarts: if you are not familiar with the Jayson
Brunsdon label then I urge you to learn the name
and own it. Without a doubt, Brundson is Australia’s
hottest import since a spandex-clad Olivia Newton
John strutted through the 80s. This was Brundson’s
second year at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and nothing
but glamour glittered down the runway: seductive
silk dresses in lustrous shades of emerald, pearl,
topaz and rose were accented with delicate Asian
motifs. Many of his A-line silhouettes were shaded
with a black outline which created the flattering
affect of a trimmer waistline. Despite the tall,
slender physiques of the models who exhibited Brunsdon’s
latest collection for spring, one could easily imagine
these dresses flattering a fuller frame, something
that’s rarely seen on the runway. This was
one of the most refreshing aspects of the collection
and one that will definitely broaden his current
fan-base.
The Jayson Brunsdon collection can be found in luxury
department stores and boutiques. For more information,
