What’s white,
black, and pink all over with punches of pastel?
The Michael Kors spring 2008 collection, of course.
The line showcased structured suits, drop waisted
skirts and fabulous tennis outfits. There was a
crispness with the clothing illuminating a deep
sense of sophistication. Definitely wielding an
après-tennis chic look, these garments had
the resort market wrapped up.
This was a
wonderluxe of high style meets the Hamptons with
injections of sex appeal. The fits were quite slender
with a distinctly flirtatious feel. The long chiffon
gowns were truly stunning and full of the most irresistible
swishy movement. These statement pieces redefined
glamour. Clearly, Michael Kors is a superstar of
the design world for many reasons (yes, this includes
Project Runway). But his serious claim to fame is
that he knows how to dress a woman and make the
ordinary emerge as utterly breathtaking. All we
can say is bravo!
