Beauty and the Beach with Tadashi Shoji

3-2-1… the Tadashi Shoji spring 2008 fashion show was a countdown to gorgeous gown after gown after gown. Lots of designers attempt to meld exquisite glamour with casual elegance, but this often proves to be a difficult balancing act. Well, Tadashi Shoji redefined spring couture and his style guidelines were all about fit, movement, and texture.

This collection took us to the shore with sun-filled music and a color scheme that embraced everything gorgeous about coastline couture. The darker browns and earthy grey spoke to sand and seaside rocks. The gorgeous shades of azure, turquoise, and ultramarine were reminiscent of the ocean and the intense shades of pink captured the imagination of an intense sunset. Beauty meets the beach with this collection, and all of the Tent People at Bryant Park were ready to dive into sexy with Tadashi Shoji.
