The Chocolate Bar East Village
(self proclaimed as “the candy store for grown
ups”) threw a launch party on July 22nd, 2008.
The Chocolate Soiree featured old fashioned treats
with a vintage charm that resonated with attendees.
The warm evening had chocolate
lovers wilting a bit, but hosts from Workhouse Publicity
looked especially cool in white ensembles. Partygoers,
with a serious weakness for gourmet chocolate, munched
on habanero lime truffles, gelato, brownies, iced
liquid chocolate and egg crèmes.
The East Village outpost (there
is another store inside Henri Bendel) has a particularly
modern sensibility paired with a comfortable neighborhood
feel. It combined the best of everything –
fantastic branding with salty sweet indulgences.
What’s next for Alison
Nelson? There are plans to expand The Chocolate
Bar into the Middle East, starting with Dubai. All
we can say is yummy!
