Max Azria and Lori Leavitt hosted a cocktail party
at the Fifth Avenue BCBG Max Azria store on November
11, 2008 to benefit H.E.L.P. Malawi. A portion of
the proceeds from the shopping party, including
Lori Leavitt Jewelry and the H.E.L.P. Malawi t-shirt
exclusively designed by Max Azria will help fund
the construction of the Nandumbo Health Care Clinic
in Malawi. Lubov Azria, H.E.L.P. Malawi founder
Jillian Wolstein and Zoe Saldana also took part
in hosting the event. Guest celebrities included
Lipstick Jungle’s Lindsay Price and actress
Joy Bryant.
Attendees were treated
to live African dancing and music, eco-friendly
cocktails by VeeV, SmartWater and hors d'oeuvres.
The Scene
H.E.L.P. Malawi is
a non-profit organization dedicated to helping over
one million children in Malawi that are without
a parent, home, or education. The organization tries
to make a difference through hope, education, love
and protection. Accomplishments of H.E.L.P. Malawi
include building a primary school to help educate
