Taking his inspiration from Elizabeth
Taylor in Butterfield 8, Carmen Marc Valvo
bewitched his audience with sex appeal and romance.
The collection had a classic Hollywood vibe that
was echoed through slim silhouettes and dual satin.
Sheer fabric was integrated throughout the parade
of gorgeous dresses that utilized intricate tailoring
that made his line stand out from the pack. Jewel
tones further turned up the style factor by ensuring
that the pieces were very on-trend, but not trendy.
This season, lingerie was another of Valvo’s
inspirations and it brought an air of naughty sophistication
to the line. Intimate apparel played peek-a-boo
from underneath the dresses, while feathers captured
a sense of whimsy. Many of the models sported fur,
which further added to the sumptuous feeling of
the clothing.
