Gilded Age designer Stefan Miljanic showed his Gilded Age Collection downtown at the historic Woolworth Building. The Woolworth Building was the perfect location to showcase Miljanic's rich-preppy-from-down-east designs. Fashion is always about context and juxtaposing Miljanic's casual wear, created with the richest of natural fabrics and dyes, against the opulent excesses of the Woolworth Building was a brilliant choice. And this briliant choice was certainly enhanced by the presence of a New Orleans style jazz band and a bar which featured old fashioned New York Style black and white cookies.

According to the press release, Stefan had previously worked as a designer for Calvin Klein, Swiss Army, Banana Republic, and Abercrombie and Fitch. This luxury but mainstream experience certainly shows in his line. Gilded Age is primed to be a huge success both on the East Coast and the hinterland where it will attract the same type of customers who have made Ralph Lauren a household name.
