Valdemar Iodice
entitled his Fall 2008 fashion show “Graffiti
– Street Art” and said that the looks
were, “created for the most beautiful bodies
in world.” The clothing had a distinctly dark
feel that was entrenched in various shades of black.
Yellow, silver, blue, and hot pink accents added
an avant-garde element to rocker-chic threads. The
bold clothing was sleek and was further toughened
up by long gloves, provocative necklines, and rich
textures. Even patent leather was used throughout
the collection to create drama.
The form fitting silhouettes
created bombshell looks with a real sense of glamour.
The artistic prints were reminiscent of the Op-Art
era, and they lightened things up a bit with a whimsical
sensibility. Mixing tailored pieces with graffiti
inspired clothing created drama, movement, and flow.
Iodice explained, “I want to show a fresh
collection that is very feminine and jet set.”
