Monique Lhuillier is one of the go-to designers for bridal; she has even branched into a line of china for her since-they're-in-the-mood-to buy-anyway bridal customers. The line is also a perpetual runway favorite; Ms. Britney Spears left her sick bed a few days ago to visit the Beverly Hills store (it would cheer me up too).

The Fall 2008 line that Lhuillier showed at Mercedes Fashion Week was scumtiously luxurious with rich dark neutral fabrics, heavy jeweled neck collars and FUR (oh well, it was gorgeous). The day wear was designed for the kind of woman who wouldn't even own a pair of jeans. It was an incredible fantasy - the kind of world that would be inhabited by a modern-day Zelda Fitzgerald.
