Rock and Republic’s
one-hour delay was worth the wait, with a powerful
show production including an elevated runway and
live orchestra. Titled “Noir,” the entire
collection was in black, with the exception of a
few grey suits and purple dresses. The dresses were
long, sexy and tight-fitting to the body. The suits
were tailored and shown mostly with turtlenecks.
It was a pleasant surprise to see a non-denim collection,
as most of the focus was suiting that was transformable
from day to night. There were a lot of leather coats
with fur trim and belted trench coats. Both men’s
and women’s looks were cohesive with a confident
statement, with accessories – boots, pumps
and shoes, bags and belts amplifying the overall
effect.
