It was bright, big
and pretty at the Tracy Reese Fall 2008 fashion
show. The looks were uniquely feminine and showcased
Reese’s impeccable taste. There was an explosion
of flowers, prints, colors, stripes, and ruffles
that depicted a dreamland fantastic. Directionally,
there were a lot of going on with the clothing,
but Reese made it all come together.
Icy hues mingled with vibrant
scarlet and kelly green tones. With any other designer,
this vast color palette would have been disastrous.
But Reese pulled everything together and wrapped
it up with a nice little bow. Berets and looser
fits to the clothing gave an upscale bohemian feel
to the collection. While off-shoulder Grecian numbers
and full skirts touted a je ne sais quoi sensibility.
Bold color combinations, prints,
fabrics, and cuts made the line distinct, yet cohesive.
Everything looked effortless, but not one hair was
out of place. Just leave it to the talented Tracy
Reese to pull of French girl glamour with a Soho
twist.
