Vera Wang has become
a household name, first for her minimalist/elegant
wedding dresses, then her foray into ready-to-wear
and now as the elegance-for-the-masses-designer
for Kohls.
So how about Vera Wang for
Fall of 2008? Wang showed an elegant line that was
inspired by the flapper era of the 1920's. Her suits
were loosely flowing as were the suits of the twenties,
an era where skirts first rose to mid-calf and modesty
and embellishment reigned. The evening wear harkened
to the flappers or F. Scott Fitzgerald's The
Great Gatsby. This line would look beautiful
on a modern-day Daisy Buchanan.
