Kit Willow’s collection was all about asymmetric
cuts, exquisite tailoring, and sky- high boots.
The line showcased loose frocks that somehow looked
fitted. Her collection filled a void in the ready
to wear lines by effortlessly transitioning from
day to evening without skipping a beat.
The dresses and separates had
an airy quality that lived in the grey, nude, black,
and burnt orange color palettes. The hues were clearly
fall focused, but nothing looked heavy. Breezy skirting,
wide leg pants, and cardigans created movement that
was echoed throughout the entire collection. The
clothing was toughened up with distinctive hardware
in the corset lacing, zippers, and grommets. These
repeated elements were the small details that defined
the collection and made it clear that this Australian
import will be on the short list New York fashionistas.
