On February 16, 2008, the Kotchegna Dance Company presented Kekene II, billed as An Evening of Ivory Coast Stars), at Columbia University. New York Cool photographer Angelo Rivera was on hand and he got these images. Enjoy!

The director of the company, Vado Diomande, recovered from accidental anthrax poisoning back in 2006 It is believed that one of the animal skins he was using to make his drums was contiminated with anthrax spores. See this article in the The Villager for more information.
