Media At Large held their official launch party at their headquarters on 5th Avenue on June 25, 2008. The company’s CEO, Shashi Balooja, better known for his work as an actor and filmmaker, hosted the party at the studio for about a hundred of his closest friends and industry VIPs who enjoyed a fun night of networking. In attendance were many actors, writers and other artists who were wined (courtesy of Underdog Wine Merchants) and dined (courtesy of Krunch Pizza) all the while catching up with old contacts and making new ones as they watched the sun set from the studio’s oversized windows. And as if the evening wasn’t already satisfying enough, gift bags were handed out loaded with many goodies including music by Stealing Jane, energy drinks by Bungie, snacks by the Chocolate Traveler, literature by Simon Doonan, innovation by Bluw.com, and clothing by both Brooklyn Royalty and, of course, Media At Large.

Media At Large is an “emerging boutique media production company” that aims to fill a void by providing New York City with a link between technology and talent. Their mission is to “…provide an environment of diversity, creativity, support, and guidance for the independent artist.” With productions such as award-winning Ariana, the Vanessa Williams starring And Then Came Love plus other in-process productions, Shashi Balooja is off to a great start with Media At Large.
