Steinunn Sigurd's STEiNUNN fashions are a New York Cool favorite; Sigurd designs a beautifully elegant and evocative line of clothing, the perfect costumes for the romantic "movie in your mind."

New York Cool writer Julia Sirmons was the first writer to cover STEiNUNN for New York Cool back in June of 2007. Corey Ann Haydu then covered the STEiNUNN Presentation in the fall of September.

And the beat goes on: We just received an email from Abe Gurko of Abe New York telling us that: "Icelandic designer Steinunn Sigurd has won this year’s prestigious Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize, representing exceptional critical acclaim for her work in fashion design. The prize was announced today by Ted Hesselbom, director of the Rohsska Museum, Göteborg, at a special reception and will be presented at a gala ceremony in Göteborg [Sweden] on November 4, 2008. An exhibition of Steinnun’s work will then run from November 5, 2008 through February 22, 2009 at the Rohsska Museum."

Congratulations to Steinunn Sigurd on her continuing success. For more information about STEiNUNN, log onto: steinunn.com.
