Richie Rich (of
Heatherette fame) hosted a party at Chelsea's
new night spot, Citrine, on the night before the
club's grand opening. Richie was celebrating the
drop of his new CD, Celebutante, a compilation
of Richie's favorite dance and party songs including
Lily Allen's "Take What You Take;" Mya's
"Whatever Bitch;" Scissor Sisters "Filthy
Gorgeous;" plus tracks from Blondie and Kelis
and Richie's own dance track, "Celebutante."
The party was filled
with fashion glitterati, plus the usual kids-who-make-the-scene,
fab drag queens and the heterosexual guys who
follow this very gay scene because it's "Where
the Girls Are."
Richie has told
New York Cool that he produced his new CD while
he was on hiatus from the fashion business. But
Rich will soon be back on the runway with a new
line and new show. Fashion! Rock! Rock! Fashion!
They tumble through the vortex while Richie waves
his wand!
