Russian designer
Alexander Terekhov dazzled attendees with ruffles,
fringe, asymmetrical cuts, and a rainbow of vibrant
hues in pink, yellow, purple and green. The Terexov
Spring 2009 runway show was well executed with chiffon
dresses and embellished coatdresses that spoke to
happiness and a rebirth of the seasons. There was
an artistic quality to the prints that floated down
the runway in layers of delicate silk.
The bright yellow long gown with
side runching was a real stand out piece that absolutely
made the collection. The defined waist and almost
sheer fabric playfully elongated the silhouette.
Overall, the clothing showed movement, and the joyous
fabric choices brought an exuberance that is seldom
seen on the runway. It was as if the audience could
feel the designer’s passion for this collection
that reveled in innocent adornments.
