Mundofase is a Buenos Aires based collective
that blends cartoon street art with music and
multimedia happenings. Mundofase, comprised
of Gustavo Gagliardo, Pedro Perelman, Martin
Tibabuzo, and Leandro Waisbord, is headed to
New York City this month for the Midtown electronic
music festival Minitek (September 12-14, 2008
at Penn Plaza - 401 7th avenue between 33rd
and 34th st**). They will bring their sound
and images to this evocative multimedia festival
with its “360 degree screen dance floor
environment.”

Minitek showcases electronic music and design
artists alongside high tech “cutting-edge
innovative art, design and technology projects.”
It’ll be the sort of blend of deejays
and technology that global digital geeks gobble
up.
Mundofase will
head to Boston and DC after the festival, to
show American fans their bleeps and beeps and
the colorful street art that covers the cobblestone
walkways of Buenos Aires.
** From the Minitek
Website: “We know that most of you
are wondering where minitek will take place.
we won’t spill all beans quite yet, but
since we know that you want to make your plans,
we’ll tell you this much: minitek will
take place at two different locations, one outdoor
day venue and one indoor night venue. to shish
the skeptics and to counter silly rumours that
we don't even have a venue yet, we're releasing
some info regarding minitek's night venue: it's
going to be in... midtown manhattan!”
