Bring on the
Funk
Phillip Lim is known
for beautifully, edgy designs created from elegant
fabrics. For fall of 2009, Lim created used a palate
of warm browns and hot pinks mixed with standard
fall neutrals of gray and black. Lim was one of
the few Fashion Week designers who used fur in his
line. The fur gave the clothing a rich look but
raised the ire of the PETA protestors outside the
tents.
Christian Louboutin
designed the hot shoes that walked the runway.
