Zac Posen Collection for Fall of 2009 is the direct antithesis to fashion's recession-driven drive to Brooks Brothers. The collection was a rich, opulent, decadent, wildly romantic Edwardian fantasy.

Posen is not afraid of prints; he deftly utilized richly colored printed silks (in tones of muted orange, brown and gold) to create a duchess-in-the-forest illusion. Also of note were the magnificent pewter and gold toned ball gowns and evening wear. The show was beautiful; it was fantasy; it was a trip to the museum of style.
