It’s time
to strap on the stilettos and step up your game,
Fashion Week is roaring into town. The tents are
rising at Bryan Park and all over town, fashionistas
are planning their looks, costume-designing their
very own “Movie in My Mind.”
For beautiful clothes are not
enough; tent
people wear style with a quirk. With a dollop
of dash and a smidgen of sass, it’s Lights,
Camera, Action time for the fit and fabulous.
And there will be plenty of drama.
No where else but fashion week can you be invited
to an event with plenty of follow up phone calls,
“Are you coming? We would really love to have
you,” only to arrive at the event and be told,
“You’re not on the list.” It's
no wonder Anna Wintour has a perennial don’t-even-think-about-messing-with-me-buddy
look on her face.
New York Cool will have a team
of writers and photographers covering Fashion Week
and we will be posting fashion stories daily. And
just for fun, here are some of our favorite looks
from September 2008’s Spring/Summer Fashion
Week; a preview of the clothes we will/can wear
