Omerta Entertainment and Bobby S. Productions hosted
the Fashionista Summer Kick-off Party at celebrity
hangout, Tenjune on May 28th, 2009, prompting New
York City’s most stylish to strip-off their
Downs and kick off their Uggs. The full house consisted
mainly of young professionals who were more than
grateful to end the workweek on a fly note, throwing
back a few cocktails and shimmying to the funkdefied
rhythms of Turntables on the Hudson’s, DJ
Sabo.

The fashion show began promptly
at 9 p.m. with a dazzling collection of rhinestone
embellished tees by Crystal Nation (www.crystalnation.com),
followed by a sexy collection of rushed evening
dresses by Israeli designer, Lia Kes. But it was
S. Love that prompted the most buzz from the crowd
with their collection of women’s wear in what
appeared to be homage to the whimsical genius of
Hollywood director, Tim Burton. This collection
of dresses consists of airy materials with smoky
abstract prints, and was bound to the waify frames
of the models with sleek leather wrap around belts.
While the look was completed by huge, black leather,
orthopedic-looking footwear, stiletto heals or boots
would suffice in order to pull off this fierce look.
