The invitation stated: This Valentine's Day light the flame of passion. Please join Christopher Ong at a sweetly scented soiree and celebrate with art, dance and refreshments as he presents his latest creation: a limited-edition perfumed candle, an intoxicating sensory experience: Madame Butterfly.

Candle Display

Candle designer Christopher Ong was our gracious and upbeat host at the luxurious Arader Galleries, the perfect setting for the launch of Ong's Madame Butterfly candle (inspired by Puccini’s Opera of the same name). The theme was illustrated in flesh through live dance interpretations plus a kimono clad model who floated through the room, posing with the eclectic guests. In attendance were: Mary and Michael Darling, chairpersons for the National Stroke Association; Juan Borona www.juanborona.com, the choreographer and event director for the party ; plus many candle collectors and Christopher's interior design industry colleagues.

The William Arader gallery was originally a one family town house. The Galleries specialize in antique maps and Audubon prints dating back to the early 1800s. The theme and the venue presented a serene and sensory experience.

“ Slow down and smell the serenity”
