New York Cool photographer Belkis Carrasco caught up with the hot new band Natalie Portman's Shaved Head at the Mercury Lounge on January 27, 2009. The band was performing to promote their new album, Glistening Pleasures.

NPSH originated in Seattle, the birth place of the late great Kurt Cobain. NPSH characterizes their music as Pop/Electro/Grunge and they are all that, but their new Glistening Pleasures is simply a great dance album with a strong beat and quirky, fun lyrics. And great music performed by a hot-looking boy band (one girl singer) is a sure formula for success.

Natalie Portman's Shaved Head performed at Austin's SXSW in March. Check out their page on the on the SXSW web site: sxsw.com/music/shows/schedule/?a=show&s=6295

According to the blurb on SXSW, this band is still not signed.

Well, not for long.
