On August 6th the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) Young Philanthropist sponsored a "Midsummer Social" at the premiere West Village nightclub Tenjune. The party raised $25,300 to support cancer immunology research from pre-event ticket sales, raffle tickets and door admissions.

The festivities included a rocking DJ, yummy cupcakes and open bar as well as an amazing selection of prizes for the raffle. Some items included a Diane Von Furstenburg purse and towel, a tote by Coach and a beautiful leather hobo bag by Marc Jacobs. There were also sports packages, signed sports memorabilia and gift certificates to fabulous New York City restaurants.

Formed in 2008 the CRI Young Philanthropist is a network of young professionals dedicated to assisting the efforts of cancer research.
