Derek Lam is a San Francisco native who graduated from Parsons School of Design and then began his design career at Michael Kors. Lam launched his own line in 2003. Lam has a keen eye for color, print and shape. For spring of 2010, Lam's line features softly draped styles in a strong palette of coordinated colors. The line is smartly accessorized with Lam's high heeled strappy sandals and sharply styled purses. Of special note where the softly draped blouses paired with very short shorts - the perfect outfit for a rich, young, fit women to wear at home in Palm Beach.
