Isaac Mizrahi's line for Spring 2010 was filled with whimsy and glitz. Mizrahi titled the show the “Astaire Case or Obstacle Course,” taking his inspiration from the 1950's films of Fred Astaire. Mizrahi once advised that if you can only afford one one coat you should buy a very good (read expensive) black bomber jacket and wear it with both jeans and ball gowns, took his own advise and mixed day wear with evening wear - pairing tan shoulder-bags and spectator-style short boots with cocktail dresses.

The collection was filled with flights of fancy with huge bows and ruffles erupting from otherwise conventional day wear. The true stars of the show were the evening gowns which were red carpet ready - calling Debra Messing! The cocky sculptured hats were also great fun. Log onto the Mizrahi website for more looks from the show.

Mizrahi stars on Bravo TV's Project Runway (Bravo lost Project Runway to Lifetime) derivative The Fashion Show.
