Swim wear designer Anne Pachan
introduced the organic beauty of the Aeolian archipelago
to the chic island of Manhattan with an enchanting
22-piece collection.
Pachan not only conjures the Aeolian
essence with her lush, mouth-watering hues, but
also draws upon her own childhood memories of the
island locals during the 80s, when women added an
element of layering to their swim wear.
The focus of this collection is the exquisite workmanship:
solid colors in fuchsia, jade, lapis, and plum are
texturized by the subtle addition of linear mesh
detailing along the busts of triangle bikini tops,
and also layered along the fronts and backs of sexy
one-piece suits. In addition to this element of
texture is her use of Japanese knot work, giving
these summertime wardrobe staples an artistic sentiment.
And one of the most appealing aspects about Ms.
Pachan’s designs is the practicality of her
swim wear; a collection that will complement the
varying shapes of all women. Well done!
