Malan Breton certainly
knows how to "put on a show" with music,
dancers, celebrities, umbrellas and even dogs. For
Style 360 Fashion Week, Malan with the support of
Rado Switzerland simply "outdid" even
himself.

The
Chelsea Symphony was back, as were dancers Brittany
Franklin and Chase Finla, who performed wearing
outfits from the collection. The dancer's garments
performed beautifully as they moved gracefully across
the stage.
According to the press release, Malan's vision for
Spring of 2011 is "American sportswear meets
Paris Couture." Also, according to the press
release, the collection is "inspired by the
technicolor movies of yesteryear. The color palette
is a sensuous palette of soft colors with infusions
of daffodil, aqua, deep cyan, silver, blueberry,
azure, brick and signature Breton bleu, colors that
radiate like the films of old! [The colllectionwas
created] in all natural fabrics like chiffon, silk
organdy, gazaar, beaded crepe de chines, organza,
cotton piques, voiles, and gabardines and Malan
Breton's signature silk chinoise."
The women 'a collection
is movie star elegant. Joan Crawford would have
loved Malan as will all modern day ladies and gentlemen
with a flair for drama and a love of romance.
Malan is one of the
few fashion week designers to show men's clothing
(men ARE about 50% of the population). His men's
suits are created from shiny silks with body conscious
cuts. Malan's guys will definitely stand out.
The
collection was sophisticated and timeless. These
are garments that can be worn daily that will give
the wearer the joy of performing in his or her "Movie
in my mind."
