The Korean Givenchy

It was a Breakfast At Tiffany's world at Son Jung Wan's 2013 Fall/Winter Fashion Show.

Wan's designs channel the spirit of Givenchy's Tiffany creations for Audrey Hepburn. The garments are created from luxurious fabrics, many cut on the bias to gently flatter the body. Wan colors her creations from a palette of neutrals and blushes and the "nature" tones of forest green, royal blue and purply-red. Wan is not afraid to use fur - lots of fur as both asymmetrical trim for her tailored garments and worked into intricately designed coats.

When asked about her esthetic, Wan stated she is inspired by the concepts of "sexy, feminine and luxurious" and she wants to help women "feel like movie stars."
Wan's designs were complemented by high heeled booties in neutral tones and platform sandals with four inch heels, The looks were topped off by Audrey Hepburn "Breakfast at Tiffany's" style hair- sleeked sides and poufed on top - very Holly Golightly.

Wan's design business is based in the fashion center of Seoul. Seoul is a fashion capital; designers are enthusiastically supported both by local fashion magazines and fashion-oriented television shows plus American imports such as Korean Vogue, Elle Korea, G Q Korea, Nylon Korea and Project Runway Korea.

Korean design christened New York's Mercedes Benz Fall/Winter 2013 Fashion Week on Thursday, February 7, 2013, with a government sponsored "Concept Korea Fashion Show." "Concept" featured Korean designers Choiboko, Cres. E. Dim, Son Jung Wan, Lie Sang Bong, and Kye. So Wan had two shows "in the tents" this February - once as part of the "Concept Korea Show" and two days later with her solo Mercedes Benz Fashion Show.

Wan's designs are sold in Seoul department stores Sinsegae and Lotte. In New York City, Wan is represented by ADK Fashions, . 225 West 35th Street, Suite 300, New York, NY 10001- Tel: 212-714-1177, Email adk@adkfashions.com, website www.adkfashions.com and www.sonjungwan.com.
