“An elegant behavior, an elegant look, an elegant word, an elegant posture, an elegant idea, they are all moonlight, mysterious and magical, calming and peaceful!”
― Mehmet Murat ildan
It's Paris in the spring time! The Ritz has reopened and Zang Toi has shown his collection for Spring/Summer of 2017. From chic variations on the classic trench to a spray of wisteria on Toi's elegant frocks, there is everything a posh woman (or man) would need to live their life at 15 Place Vendôme.
Toi brought his vision for spring to life with luxurious silks in a palette of black, white, purple and elegant navy.
Toi created his trench coats from water-repellent silk poplin, lined with cashmere. These classic coats were complemented by cashmere head scarves wrapped around the model's heads. There were full length sleeves, three quarter sleeves and no sleeved trenches - very smart, exquisitely tailored and just the thing to make an entrance at Bar Hemingway.
New for this season were elegant light weight cashmere sweaters which would look equally at home topping a ball gown or a pair of jeans.
Toi has stated that when he created his purple collection of evening wear, he was inspired by Monet’s Gardens at Giverny. He interpreted this vision in violet hues with drizzles of wisteria. And of course, there were beautiful gowns in black silk - timeless beauties to stock the closets of some of the world's best dressed women.
Toi is one of a small few designers who designs clothes both for beautiful young things who look amazing wearing one of his curve hugging short dresses but also for a women who is Chairman of the Board of a Fortune 500 company or the wife of a Middle Eastern potentate.
Toi newest venture is a collaboration with Papyrus for a collection of elegant stationery designed with the Toi esthetic. papyrusonline.com/collection/zang-toi
